Student Community Service
Mission Statement
The Office of Student Community Service (SCS) promotes the development of engaged citizens by supporting student service and philanthropy organizations and connecting students to community agencies in Cambodia.
Community Registered Student Organizations
SCS supports campus-wide service initiatives including, but not limited to make a Difference Day. The Students, faculty, staff and alumni have the opportunity to engage in service projects with several different community agencies throughout the year.
Details on all service events will be posted as they become available.
Evanston Volunteer Recognition
During National Volunteer Week, Sastra Angkor, and Dr. Hong Foundation Foundation are joining together to celebrate the extraordinary work that volunteers do. Fifteen outstanding volunteers are recognized each year from the Dr. Hong Foundation community for making a difference in a multitude of ways. The due date for nominations has passed for 2015.
Service Awards
Dr. Hong Foundation Community Service ($5,000)
Dr. Hong Foundation for community Service will honor a graduating senior who exemplifies leadership and service through participation in institute and community activities. The great values of Dr. Hong’ extraordinary example of volunteerism and commitment to community, those will gain the prize and its recipient will be prominently recognized by the Institute.
